Buttermere Sunset Guided Photo Walk - Friday 7th June 2019

from 15.00

Fully guided photo walk in the beautiful Buttermere Valley in The Lake District. We will be venturing high up over Haystacks with some great photo opportunities at the many tarns that scatter the Landscape between Haystacks and Fleetwith Pike, including Innominate Tarn where Alfred Wainwright’s ashes are said to be scattered. The views from up here looking down the valley over Buttermere and Crummock Water are some of the best The Lake District has to offer. We will aim to be at one of the magnificent viewpoints for sunset, either Warnscale Bothy, or Fleetwith Pike, where you will hopefully catch a stunning Lake District sunset. After the sun has set we will be walking back to our starting point at Gatesgarth Farm, head torches for the walk back will be provided if required.

You will need to have good general level of fitness for this walk, even though it’s not the highest of fells in The Lake District, we will be covering around 8km of mountainous terrain with around 500m of ascent.

Please note this is not a photography workshop, this is a social photo walk event. but I will be on hand to help out and give you any advice on photography as and when needed.

£30 per person, a £15 deposit is required upon booking

NB: This walk will require a minimum of three people to go ahead, and a maximum group size of 8. In the unlikely event the walk is unable to go ahead, due to adverse weather conditions, you will be offered the choice of an alternative date, or a full refund.
