Honister and Haystacks wild camping photography tour
This wild camping photography tour will take us to a classic Wainwright fell, and Alfred himself certainly liked it as he supposedly had his ashes scattered at Inominate Tarn near the summit of Haystacks. Packed with great photo opportunities along the way and a wild camp high up on Haystacks itself this is the perfect way to experience wild camping in a beautiful part of The Lake District and come home with some great images.
We will cover around 10km over the two days with an ascent of around 700m carrying camera gear and camping equipment so you will need a good level of fitness, although we will be taking it easy and don’t have to hit any summits. Perfect for beginner and amateur photographers who love mountain landscapes and want to push their photography further. We will cover many aspects such as composition, focusing, manual mode and Raw format, depth of field, use of filters vs exposure blending, long exposure photography with the hope of some astrophotography (clear skies permitting) We will also look at camp craft, route planning and how to manage and look after yourselves in the hills and mountains so you can be confident when going it alone.
