langdale pikes wild camping photography workshop
Starting from the pretty village of Elterwater in the beautiful Langdale valley, this wild camping photography trip will take us up and over the Langdale Pikes with a wild camp high up in the fells.
We will cover around 15km over the two days with an ascent of around 1100m carrying camera gear and camping equipment so you will need a good level of fitness, although we will be taking it easy and don’t have to hit any summits. Perfect for beginner and amateur photographers who love mountain landscapes and want to push their photography further. We will cover many aspects such as composition, focusing, manual mode and Raw format, depth of field, use of filters vs exposure blending, long exposure photography with the hope of some astrophotography (clear skies permitting) We will also look at camp craft, route planning and how to manage and look after yourselves in the hills and mountains so you can be confident when going it alone.
2 full days in the mountains with landscape photography tuition
Post processing crash course and work flow at the end
Camping gear included if required will be tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, cooking equipment and head torch.
