Payment for your workshop, walk or course
A deposit is required upon booking your workshop and then the balance is due 14 days prior to the workshop or guided walk. Should this final payment fail to reach me by the date specified, I reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled.
If your booking is made 14 days or less until your workshop date then the full amount is required.
Cancellations and re-arrangements
If you decide to cancel your workshop then it has cost implications on me
Cancellations up to 14 days before the date of the workshop will receive a full refund, subject to a £10.00 administration fee. Cancellations between 14 and 7 days from the workshop date will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations made 7 days or less to the date of the workshop will not be eligible for a refund.
On the rare occasion that a workshop doesn’t go ahead, such as due to bad weather conditions. Then every effort will be made to re-arrange the workshop or guided walk date.
Any cancellation must be made by email or phone call. The date on which the email or phone call is received by me will determine the cancellation charges that apply.
Insurance and liability
I hold public liability insurance, to cover you for any negligence by myself on the day. You are responsible for your own actions and Mark Gamblin will not be liable for death, physical injury or harm unless through direct negligence of myself.
Your personal belongings such as camera equipment, money and personal effects are not covered by my insurance on the day and you should seek your own personal insurance for these. I will not accept responsibility for such items.
Mark Gamblin Photography and Mountain Workshops takes no responsibility for accidents, bad weather, acts of God etc. Please take out the appropriate travel/personal insurance if you need cover.
Fitness and Mountain terrain
There is a certain amount of effort involved in some of my workshops and walks. Therefore you will need a good level of general fitness to be able to carry a rucksack, camera gear and if camping then a tent, sleeping bag etc. I will always advise you beforehand on the severity of the walk.
You will be entering mountainous landscapes on my workshops and guided tours, where there is a certain amount of personal risk involved and there is a degree of responsibility you must hold for yourself. I will always advise before the workshop or walk about the terrain we will be entering, and whilst on the hill I will always do my upmost to ensure we are as safe as possible and to point out any potential hazards.
